About sainik school:

Admission to Class VI and Class IX of the 33 Sainik Schools for every year, is through a written exam called AISSEE. In this Schools 2 are situated in Andhra Pradesh (Korukonda Sainik School, Kalikiri Sainik School). Admission is based on the performance of candidates in the All-India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE). The admission of candidates will be carried out on the basis of e-counselling as per rank secured by the candidates in the School wise, gender wise, category wise(Home State and Out Side State) Merit List. Medical fitness approved by competent medical authorities and verification of original documents.

• Class 6 – English/ Hindi/ Local Language of the State
• Class 9 – English Language Only

Age Limit criteria for admission in Sainik School

• Class 6 (Boys/Girls) – 10 to 12 years

Rashtriya Military School (RMS):

RMS admissions for Class 6 and 9 are conducted in two stages. First stage is the Common Entrance Test. After clearing the Rashtriya Military School CET, students are called for an interview and medical exam. Thereafter, candidates are selected in order of merit on the basis of total marks secured in the admission test and the interview.

There is a certain set of criteria laid by Rashtriya Military Schools for admission in Class 6 and 9.

Age eligibility:

Class 6 - Boys and girls aged between 10-12 years.
Class 9 - Only boys aged between 13-15 years.

Educational Qualification

For Class 6 - The student must have passed Class 5 or must be studying in Class 5 and pass it before the date of RMS admission.

For Class 9 - For admission in Class 9, the student should have passed Class 8 from a government-recognized school, before the date of Rashtriya Military School admission.

RMS - Common Entrance Test :

• The common entrance test will be MCQ based and is conducted in offline mode.
• There will be one single paper for Class 6, while for Class 9, there will be two papers.
• The exam pattern is different for both classes.
• Students have to qualify in the CET to be eligible for the next level.

Navodaya Class 6 Admission:

Age and Eligibility:

• Student Age should be between age group of 09 to 13 years- All Category (before 01 May 2010 and after 30 April, 2014).
• Student who is appearing in class V for session 2022-23 can apply for it. But must qualify finally from class V examination.
• Candidate should have appeared earlier in JNVST Entrance Test

Seats Reservation Criteria for Rural, SC/ST, Girls, and Disabled Child:

• The 75% of the seats are reserved for within districts applicants selected from rural areas and remaining seats are reserved for urban areas applicant of the district.
• Seats Reservation for SC/ST candidates in proportion to their population in the district but not less than the national average.
• For Girls Students: 1/3 of the seats are reserved for girl’s students.
• 03% seats are reserved for disabled Children also i.e. Hearing Impaired, Orthopedically Handicapped and Visually Handicapped candidates
